* — This English word is used the same way every time this Greek word appears. One Greek word, one English word, always.
^ — This English word is also used for other Greek words built from the same root (related "family" words).
^^ — This English word is shared by two or more different Greek words that are synonyms (not just related family words).
~ — This English word is not uniform. Either it's a small helper word (like "be" or "have" or "ultimately"), or English simply doesn't have enough separate words to match the Greek exactly.
